A series of debates will occur during this class. The following information is to give you guidance regarding possible debate topics and the process of debating.

DEBATE TOPICS

1. Gay couples should have the same employment benefits as heterosexual couples who marry.
2. Gay couples should NOT have the same employment benefits as heterosexual couples who marry.
3. Abortions should be legal if pregnancy results from rape or incest OR if the mother's health is at risk.
4. Abortions should NOT be legal if pregnancy results from rape, or incest OR if the mother's health is at risk.
5. Parents should have the right to spank their children.
6. Parents should NOT have the right to spank their children.
