Chapter Thirteen provides the student with an overview of issues often asked: how can ethics be applied to such controversial issues as the media, the concept of a just-war, animal rights and welfare, and the death penalty. Through the readings and narratives the student will envision both sides to these issues. The student will see how a proponent to an issue can change to an opponent. The demands and position of society will be seen as the directive of opinions. The student will be made aware of the impact these issues have on our ethics and morals today.
