In many emergencies, Emergency Medical Responders are the first medically trained persons on the scene to administer care. This text and the supporting materials are designed to teach you how to safely and efficiently provide immediate care to an ill or injured person in accordance with the guidelines established by the Department of Transportation (DOT) First Responder National Standard Curriculum.
