TIME.com operates this site, which presents information on the life of another great leader, Mohandas Ghandi. Like King, Ghandi advocated nonviolent resistance to bring about change. Read about Ghandi, and then return to King's piece. Do you view it differently now? Is nonviolent resistance useful in any situation? Are you surprised that it could be effective in such different settings as India and the south?
