Philip Morris is the world’s largest consumer packaged goods company. With over $80 billion in revenue, the company operates in nearly 200 countries. Philip Morris employs approximately 178,000 employees in diverse businesses such as tobacco, beer, food and confectionary products, etc.

Explore the site above including the company’s annual report. Identify what different divisions the company has, different brands the company boasts, and different geographic locations the company operates in. Also look at the top management team of the company. Looking at all of this information, construct at least three different organizational charts for Philip Morris. Explore the advantages and disadvantages of each for the company and make a case for the best structure for the company. Bring your charts and your rationales for the class discussion.

For today’s Hewlett-Packard, The first idea that has grown into one of the largest technology organizations today was borne in 1939. Two students developed the idea while working in a backyard garage in California. Now, e-services, e-speak, and digital imaging depict just how far this first idea has progressed.
