Personal Taxation
While workers' compensation is often criticized as inadequate, your personal taxation course should remind you the awards are slightly better than they might appear. Congress decided to specifically exempt workers' compensation benefits from inclusion in gross income, and therefore recipients need not pay income tax on them.
