Directions

• Start at the Library of Congress Web site, www.loc.gov.
• Click on Library Catalogs.
• Click on Basic Search.
• Under the heading Basic Search Tips, click on and read Title. Click the Back button.
• Under the heading Basic Search Tips, click on and read Author/Creator Browse. Click the Back button.
• Under the heading Basic Search Tips, click on and read Subject Browse. Click the Back button.
• Under the heading Basic Search Tips, click on and read Keyword. Click the Back button.
• Answer the following questions.

1.		When you use the title search, what do you enter to find information about the novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?
2.		When you search for authors or creators, what do you enter to find books by Mark Twain?
3.		When you search for a subject, what do you enter to find information about William Shakespeare?
