BANFF SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
Doug McNamara runs the Banff School of Management, offering a 10-day, $4,000 experience for executives that promises to change their behaviour and make them better leaders. This intensive experience is intended to bring creative thinking back to business by opening minds and pushing participants' personal limits. This is accomplished through an emphasis on unorthodox activities ranging from outdoor scavenger hunts after dark, teamwork exercises, role-playing, improvisation, yoga, and ceramics. The idea is that an excellent leader shows the drive and passion of artists, and that the soul and emotion are important in leadership too.

There's also more traditional classroom activity provided by management academics from across the country-business theory, managing change, turnaround strategies, and the like. By the end of the course, these participants join the ranks of 3,000 other satisfied clients, saying that their experiences have revealed a lot of things and made them better communicators and stronger leaders, keenly aware of the relationship between creativity and innovation.
