Since the acquisition of Warner-Lambert Company in 2000 and Pharmacia Corporation in 2003, Pfizer has become one of the world's largest companies. Pfizer Canada is one of the top investors in Canadian R&D, investing more than $190 million in 2005.

http://www.xerox.ca/ Xerox’s mission statement is “Our strategic intent is to help people find better ways to do great work -- by constantly leading in document technologies, products and services that improve our customers' work processes and business results.” Xerox Canada employs over 4,500 employees nationally and has indirectly created thousands of jobs across Canada. Xerox Canada’s head office is located Toronto, Ontario. The company also maintains regional offices across Canada and in major cities. Additionally, Xerox has two TeleWeb locations, one in Saint John, New Brunswick and the second in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Also located in Saint John and Halifax are two Welcome Centre operations which handle customer inquiries and calls for remote technical or on-site service.  Both TeleWeb and Welcome Centre service our North American customer base.

Be prepared to discuss your responses in class. Identify John Kotter's eight steps for leading organizational change. Do you perceive these steps as being important to this organization? Why or why not? What are the strategies for overcoming resistance to change? How could implementation of these strategies prove beneficial to this company? Explain.
