Marge Kemp, Executive Editor

As an executive editor, Marge is responsible for all of the titles that are published in Integrative Biology and the Geosciences. She manages the timely publication of titles, evaluates and signs new projects to ensure the continued growth and viability of both lists, and analyzes market trends which influence publication decisions. Marge has been in publishing for over 14 years, beginning with photo research and moving into editorial, with the past eight years in management. She attends scientific conferences, when possible, and works closely with authors to develop optimal revision plans. While there isn't time to develop a real hobby, Marge enjoys golfing, traveling, and babysitting grandson, Chris.

 

Kathy Loewenberg, Senior Developmental Editor

Kathy has been involved in publishing for 17 years, the last seven as a developmental editor for McGraw-Hill Publishers. Her responsibilities involve helping authors in botany, ecology, and environmental science prepare quality manuscripts and art programs, while overseeing the scheduling of these titles and ancillaries through to publication. She has a BS in Media Technology, a BA in Public Relations/Marketing, and an MA in English Literature. Kathy's hobbies and interests include gardening, playing with her golden retriever, Maggie, reading, music, and gourmet cooking.

 

Donna Nemmers, Senior Developmental Editor

As a developmental editor for the zoology, marine biology, and evolution titles at McGraw-Hill, Donna works with authors in preparing manuscript and illustration programs for these texts. She also sets schedules and manages the publication process and ancillary development for her titles. Donna has been in various aspects of the publishing field for 16 years, and has been with McGraw-Hill for 10 years. Donna has a BA in English and Communications. Outside of work, Donna enjoys sharing time with her husband and two children, and gardening.

Heather graduated from The University of Iowa with a BA in Journalism and Political Science. Since finishing school, Heather has worked exclusively in the publishing industry, with seven years at McGraw-Hill. She enjoys marketing because it enables her to have close ties with both the talented people who create the products, as well as the educators and students that use them.
