About the Authors

Ken Laudon

Ken Laudon is Professor of Information Systems at New York University's Stern School of Business. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from Stanford and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He has authored twelve books dealing with information systems including Computers and Bureaucratic Reform, Communications Technology and Participation, Dossier Society, Information Technology and Management Strategy, Solving Classic Business Problems, Information Technology and Society, Interactive Computing: Concepts and Skills, and most recently E-Commerce: Business, Technology and Society.

At the Stern School of Business Ken teaches courses on Managing the Digital Firm, IT and Corporate Strategy, E-Commerce and Digital Markets, and Organizational Theory.

Kenneth Rosenblatt

Kenneth Rosenblatt is Chief Writer at Azimuth Interactive, Inc. He serves as Co-author and Editorial Director of the Interactive Computing Series and has written and contributed to nearly three-dozen software instruction titles. In addition to managing the Interactive Computing writing staff, Ken currently oversees all aspects of book production from content and graphic layout to production of electronic files for printing and publication. He takes pride in the ability of Azimuth to complete both the development and writing of manuscripts and the conversion of those manuscripts into illustrated, ready-for-print electronic layouts.

Ken earned a B.A. in Spanish from Cornell University. He also focused on a diverse curriculum of writing courses that included intensive work in creative, analytical, and expository writing.

David Langley

David Langley earned his B.A. in English from The King's College and an M.A. in English from Hofstra University, both located in New York, and has done additional graduate work at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has over ten years experience in business, mainly in the airline, aerospace, and food-export fields. He also has nearly twenty years of experience as a business school or college instructor in literature and composition, office software, and business writing. As a technical writer at Azimuth Interactive, Mr. Langley specializes in developing office software textbooks and desktop publishing.

Robin Pickering

Robin Pickering received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with high honors from the University of Kentucky in 1992, while raising two children. She has worked as a copy editor and in quality assurance and has also written and edited multimedia scripts. She has credits in books published in FrontPage, HTML, Excel, Access, and Word. She has also worked as a developmental editor for other writers' works on a variety of software applications. Robin currently works as a technical writer for Azimuth Interactive where she has written several books including works on Visual Basic and Access.
