New Features:

  • Changes made to Peachtree Complete Accounting 2003 have been reflected in the text. Such changes to Peachtree include flow-chart graphics on the redesigned Navigation Aid, accounts payable and account receivable credit memos, Windows XP compatibility, downloadable payroll tax tables (on textbook website), daily register reports, ability to zoom-in and drill-down from financial statements, Excel conversion from most reports, Universal Price Code (UPC) and Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) field, and updated screen captures. Addressing all of these enhancements to the program ensures that students are working and learning with the latest technology available in this area. Integration of Peachtree Complete 2003, Release 10.0 will also be reflected in the text with revised screen illustrations and report printouts on which students rely heavily.
  • New Chapter 14, Payroll includes automatic payroll tax withholding for the 50 states.
  • Chapter 1 now includes instructions for copying the Bellwether Garden Supply folder to a Zip disk or CD-RW disk. This will help students more effectively utilize and manipulate data.
  • The entire text will now be available in our Primis database accessible at www.mhhe.com/primis. This provides instructors with optimum flexibility by enabling viewing of all content online and the ability to customize it as needed.

  • Peachtree Complete Accounting 2003 software is packaged with every text. This allows students to have their own copy of the software for use at home or on campus. The author recommends that the software packaged with the textbook also be installed in the school computer lab to ensure compatibility with the software that students install on their home or office computers.
  • This project is supported by an Online Learning Center that allows professors the convenience of using the supporting website content in a distance learning setting with a course management system such as WebCT or Bb.
  • Text is spiral bound for ease of use when working on the computer.
  • Chapter 18 on Dynamic Data Exchange is included to give students practice copying Peachtree report data or financial statements to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
