Websites are extremely popular channels of communication. Many businesses offer colorful and technologically innovative sites that provide customers with information about using products and services, how to purchase products, and how to solve problems. However, some sites are better designed for these purposes than others.

Select one of these websites or one you find on the Internet. Prepare a written summary for your instructor that evaluates the effectiveness of the site based on the following criteria:

  1. Does the site provide ease of user navigation? Are the links clearly worded?
  2. Does the home page clearly present what the company does and what it provides?
  3. Are the written messages clear and easy to understand?
  4. Is there punctuation or grammatical errors in the text?
  5. Is the text easy to read?
  6. Is the site design attractive and appealing?
  7. Is there a focal point in the home page design?
  8. Do the images relate to the company products, customers, and services?
  9. Are the graphics and design elements appropriate and clearly presented?
  10. Are there too many design elements that make the site too busy or overly flashy?
