Write a summary lead based on the following information, which is from a story by The Associated Press. The story ran in the Indiana Daily Student.
     This is a Christmas-time story.
     There are only 17 days until Christmas, and the Salvation Army is busy with its annual campaign to raise money for the needy.
     The bell ringers are out, but the annual Christmas campaign has started slowly in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne.
     Scott Justvig, director of development for the
Salvation Army, said today that the campaign is about $11,000 short of where it was at the same time last year.
      "But it appears things are picking up," he added.
