Two sacred masks were stolen from the Hopi Indian tribe, and Meryl Pinsoff Platt, 48, an antiquities dealer, was charged in connection with the theft.
She pleaded guilty in November to interstate transportation of stolen property.
The masks are valued at more than $7,000 each.
Platt operates her business out of her home in Wilmette, Ill.

Her sentencing was today in Chicago before U.S. District Judge Milton Shadur.
Shadur fined Platt $6,000. He also sentenced her to 30 days in jail for her role in the sale of the two masks.
She is to serve the sentence on weekends at the federal jail in Chicago, her attorney said.
Platt is cooperating with authorities who are investigating the theft of the sacred masks.
